Postdoc in Engineering Materials
formally based at Department of Management and Engineering

Duties
Within the position as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of engineering materials, research (80%) and a minor part of teaching (20%) are included. We are looking for one to two postdoctoral fellows who can work in several of our ongoing research projects at the division. Examples of ongoing research include integrated computational materials engineering of coatings and substrates for high temperature applications, characterisation of strain tolerant thermal barrier coatings for gas turbines and properties and microstructure of additively manufactured metals.
The position will include both laboratory and theoretical parts. Examples of possible work tasks are microstructure studies with light and electron microscopes, characterization of thermal and mechanical properties, thermodynamic modelling using calphad methods. Experience from any of the above types of studies is a merit.
Qualifications
The position requires a doctorate or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. The doctorate shall have been obtained no longer than three years before the expiration date of the application.
Appointment time
The position is for one year with the possibility of a further one-year extension.
Starting date
By agreement.

Salary
The University applies individual salary scales adapted to the experience of the employee and to the labour market.
