We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist in Chemical Epigenetics to contribute to the development of epigenetic-based diagnostics for early cancer detection. You will participate in the Ludwig Institute funded research programme at the University of Oxford led by Dr Chunxiao Song. The group combines chemical biology and genomic approaches to develop sensitive tools to explore the wealth of epigenetic information in body fluids, such as the circulating cell-free DNA, to broaden the use of new epigenetic biomarkers for non-invasive disease diagnostics.
As our Postdoctoral Scientist, you will contribute to the development of non-invasive epigenetic based diagnostics. You will design and perform research work using clinical samples such as cell-free DNA from human plasma and train and supervise junior staff in NGS techniques and analysis.
You will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant topic. You will have a strong skill set in standard molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, together with experience of NGS techniques and data analysis.
Experience of communicating results clearly and logically as part of a diverse research team is essential. Additionally required is a first author publication in a relevant subject and evidence of independent thinking with the ability to lead a project.
This full-time position is fixed-term for 3 years.

院系專業(yè)

38個學(xué)院，它們和學(xué)校的關(guān)系就像美國中央政府與地方政府的關(guān)系那樣采用聯(lián)邦制形式。每一所學(xué)院都由Head of House和幾個Fellows管理，他們都是各種學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域的專家，其中大多數(shù)在學(xué)校都有職位。6個準(zhǔn)學(xué)院（稱為“永久性私人學(xué)堂”Permanent Private Halls、為各宗教教派所辦），至今還保留著它們的宗教特許狀。
